Cranston Libraries Announce Spring Tech Program

The Cranston Public Library is a statewide leader in demonstrating that your local library is more than just a place to get books.

Today, the library is becoming a center for technology and learning, especially for children and adults who have been watching and feeling the pace of change pass them by.

This spring, the library is offering a variety of classes to boost your technology skills. 

Here's a list:

March 28, 9am-10:30am, Digital Photography Basics

Learn how to transfer digital photos from your camera to a computer and resize, edit, and share them. Feel free to bring your camera and USB cables to this class. No registration required. 

April 11, 9am-10:30am Introduction to Facebook

Learn how to use Facebook, the world's largest social networking site. See how you can connect with old friends and make new ones! No registration required. 

April 23, 9am-10:30am, Introduction to PowerPoint

Learn how to create slideshows using Microsoft PowerPoint. Please register by calling 401-943-9080 ext. 122

May 9, 9am-10:30am, Create Websites Using Tackk

Learn how to create simple websites using Tackk, a new free service that is easy to use. No registration required.  

May 23, 9am-10:30am, How to Use Library Resources

Learn how to search for books, movies, and other library materials using our statewide online catalog. We'll also show you how to search for articles and other useful information using online databases. No registration required.
