Phyllis H. Irish, 93, formerly of Cranston, Rhode Island and Cape Cod, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday April 28, 2013 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. Irish. She was born in Harwich, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Freeman and Viola (Hall) Doane.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children Nancy Iannotti of Cranston, Carol Govey and her husband James of Johnston and Judy Poccia and her husband Richard of Hope. She was also the devoted grandmother of Lori Padilla and her husband Gustavo of Cranston, Matthew Iannotti of Japan, Rebecca Iannotti of Foxboro, Kate Poccia of Hope, Ally Nadler and her husband Rob of Coventry, and great grandmother of Alex, Gabriel, Danny and Manny Padilla. She was the dear sister of the late Shirley Norberg.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am in The Butterfield Home & Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. She will be laid to rest in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held TODAY (Tuesday) from 4:00-7:00pm.
