Workers at Eastland Foods got a different sort of ride to work today thanks to major flooding of Fletcher Avenue that left a few cars stranded and residents once again looking at the Pawtuxet River taking over the neighborhood.
The flooding here is routine, which means residents and businesses here are used to dealing with waist-high water.
So it's no surprise workers at Eastland Foods have come up with this solution to ferry workers to and from the building.
The truck driver follows a meandering route through the flooded parking lot, apparently aware of the slope of the land.
The Pawtuxet River is above 9 feet, just over flood stage, but is expected to begin receding later today.
