One Cranston man is $40,000 richer after buying a winning "Black Pearls" instant ticket, the Rhode Island Lottery Commission announced.
He's going to buy a new car to replace his 20-year-old ride.
The man claimed his ticket this morning and wished to remain anonymous.
Later, a Providence man claimed $10,000 on a "Bingo" scratch-off ticket. They money will be used to help him get caught up on bills, the lottery commission said.
The ticket was sold at the Cranston Street Rite Aid.
And then during the Lucky for Life drawing last night, a $2,000 winning ticket was sold to a customer of Phred's Drug on Oaklawn Avenue. It remains unclaimed.
