If your child got off the school bus a little later than normal today, you can thank Mother Nature.
Strong thunderstorms brought large amounts of rain to Cranston today, causing the district to delay some school bus routes.
But Superintendent Judith Lundsten said the district was spared major delays because the rain stopped around 1 p.m.
"We had a few minor delays, but we're good to go here," Lundsten said.
Before 1 p.m., the situation was starting to look bad as streets began to flood during heavy downpours. Park and Reservoir Avenue were among the major roads that were flooded for a period of time today.
Was your child home late today? Where do you live?
