The threat of Hurricane Sandy has prompted the city and Waste Management to cancel trash pickup today.
Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung announced the delay last night.
City officials said it isn't clear if there will be trash pickup on Tuesday, either, so residents are advised to sit tight until further announcements.
Along with no trash pickup, students at Cranston Schools have no school today and the Cranston Public Library is closed for the day.
