The first of eight job fairs organized by the cities of Cranston, Providence and Workforce Solutions will be held today at the Roger Williams Park casino in Providence.
The job fair is free and open to the public and industry-specific. Today's fair is focused on jobs in the health care industry with 30 representatives of the health care industry in attendance.
Future job fairs will be associated with construction, hospitality, tourism, education, information technology, finance, and others.
The fair runs from 12 to 3 p.m. The Roger Wiliams Casino is located at 1000 Elmwood Ave.
Cranston Mayor Alan W. Fung said said the fairs will be "a great resource and opportunity for people who are still underemployed or unemployed."
