Obituary: Peter Mason Perry, 53

Peter Mason Perry, 53, a resident of Cranston for most of his life, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb.11, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.

He was the son of the late Marilyn Cornell Perry Harlacker, the late Nicholas N. Perry and stepson of the late Joseph Harlacker.

He was a 1981 graduate of Cranston East. He was employed by West Bay Residential, Better Shedder, and Comstock Industries for many years before retiring.

Peter enjoyed visiting his friends at his former work places. He favorite pastime was going out to eat. Peter was presented the Key to The City of Cranston by Mayor Taft and was a personal friend of Mayor Laffey.

Peter is survived by his brother and wife, Jeffrey N. and Beth A. Perry of Narragansett, his sister and her husband, Helen S. and Dennis DiCapua of Southlake TX, his brother and wife, Nicholas N. Perry and Funda Turgut, of New York City, his beloved aunt, Shirley Harrington of Southbury, CT, and his step brother Joseph Harlacker of Coventry.

Growing up in Edgewood Peter was supported by a devoted network of neighbors and friends. In his adult years he benefited from the loving and attentive support and care given by the staff of West Bay Residential.

The family would like to express their extreme gratitude for all those who played such an important role in Peter's life. His funeral will be held Saturday February 16, at 10 am at the Edgewood Congregational Church, 1788 Broad Street, Cranston. Visiting hours will be at the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave, Warwick, Friday, February 15 from 4 to 7 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to West Bay Residential Services Inc., 158 Knight St, Warwick R.I. 02886
